Harmony Local Mission Team

“But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you; and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”    Acts 1:8

The Harmony Mission Team was established in November of 2008.  The team’s calling is to help meet the needs of the church family, community and surrounding cities.  The group will be responsible for a variety of services.  These may include benevolence assistance, construction, home repairs, yard work, cooking or cleaning needs, clothing and financial assistance.  The hope of this team is to meet the physical and spiritual needs of individuals and families in our immediate area.

There are numerous ways to serve on this team.  Volunteers are always welcome and needed.  The Harmony Mission Team meets on Wednesday evenings at 6:30, Room 218 in the old church.

Mission Team Referrals

Anyone can make a referral or request to the Mission Team.  Referral cards are located at the Welcome Center in the Family Life Center.  Please fill out the card completely with all information requested.  The cards should be returned to the church and placed in the Mission box at the Welcome Center.  A team member will then be in contact with the individual or family that has a request.  More information will be taken to assess the situation and determine what assistance is needed.

Clothes Closet & Food Pantry

The Harmony Clothes Closet & Food Pantry was established as a community outreach of the Mission Team.  These ministries provide clothing and food to anyone in the church family or surrounding community that may be in need.  The ministries are open to the public the 3rd and 4th Saturdays of each month from 10:00am – 1:00pm.  The Clothes Closet and Food Pantry are located in the old church.
