DISCIPLE NOW WEEKEND
THEME: “To Save A Life”.
We will start the weekend off seeing the movie “To Save A Life” at the movie theater.
Can a movie change the world? No, but it can move the people who will. To Save a Life is more than a movie. It’s the difference you can make when you use your influence and time for others—whether in your family, neighborhood, campus, community or world. Some people are just dying to be heard and accepted. Don’t let ‘em have to. Be the person who takes the time to show people they have value. Listen. Reach out. Engage. Imagine if we took the time to show other people we care. To Save a Life dares—no, inspires—you to. YOU CAN CHANGE THE WORLD.
After the movie, we will travel to our destination for the weekend…It’s a SURPRISE! (Let your parents know our destination is based upon where we will view the movie).
COST: $35 per person for the weekend (includes 2 nights lodging and 4 meals).
YOU WILL NEED: Money for your dinner on Friday night, money for snacks at the movie, and your lunch on Sunday.
WHAT WE WILL BE DOING: We will be completing a Bible study on the series from the movie…BRING YOUR BIBLE! It will be exciting!
DEADLINE: JANUARY 13TH--Must have your $35 to Ken or Karen.
FUND RAISER: (To help off set our expenses for our Disciple Now Weekend).
January 17th—Luncheon after morning Worship……I will need each of you to be there to help!
DATE: March 26th – 28th
COST: $40 per student (The total cost is $100 but we will raise the remaining amount!) Cost includes 2 night lodging, 5 meals and a t-shirt…you will need spending money and money for lunch on the way home!
DEADLINE: FEBRUARY 7TH—Must have your $40 to Ken or Karen.
FUND RAISER: (To help off set our expenses for Spring Youth Conference)
February 13th-- We will host a Valentine Banquet at the church. >Price: $12.50 per person and $25 per couple…we need to start selling tickets now…..
Also please find enclosed a permission slip that we will keep on file for 2010 for all functions for 2010. SO please have your parents complete and return by January 13th.
